Fixing the Dysfunctional Budget Process

The bloated $254.3 billion State Budget was over one month late; requiring 11 emergency extenders in order to keep the government up and running. As Albany Democrats have shown with their one-party rule, it is time for us to make a drastic change to ensure a functional government for New Yorkers.

Assembly Republicans have a Budget Reform Plan that will:

-Implement a Statutory State Spending Cap
-Increase Legislative Oversight
-Prevent Tax Increases
-Require Action for an On-Time Budget
-Address the Crippling Debt Forced on New Yorkers by Albany Democrats
-Provide for Greater Transparency
-Include ALL Conferences in Budget Negotiations
